Proctor Academy provides its student-athletes the opportunity to refine skills, uncover passions, and pursue excellence in a wide variety of athletic endeavors.  The graduating Class of 2010 illustrates well the balance each Proctor student seeks to find between academics, athletics, and the arts, while preparing him or herself to compete at the nation's most competitive colleges.

Proctor’s Varsity Girls’ Tennis program has served as the league leader over the last few seasons due to both their high-end individual athletes and depth of talent, which allowed them to compete against opponents at every ability level.  The team was optimistic coming into the season, when a young group of extremely talented athletes showed up for the opening day of practice this spring. However, as the season began without three-year undefeated #1 Sayre Limburg, who is on Mountain Classroom this spring before heading to compete for Philadelphia University next fall, much uncertainty remained regarding the ability of the young players to compete against older competition.  Now that the season is nearing completion, Head Coach Whitey Joslin has seen this core group of young talent develop into a force to be reckoned with among Lakes Region opponents, finishing the regular season with  9-2 record, and much momentum heading into the Lakes Region Championship on Saturday.
