Lovejoy Library's collection consists of over 15,000 volumes, 70 periodicals, national and local newspapers, research databases, and other online resources. The Environmental Resource Center is a special collection which supports Proctor Academy's environmental mission.
Proctor Academy's first library was located in Maxwell Savage Hall and was destroyed by fire in the late 19th century. Lovejoy Library was founded in 1962 with a gift from Frederick Lovejoy and his family. Originally located in Shirley Hall, the Library was moved by faculty, students and staff to the David and Alice Fowler Learning Center in May of 1994.
