Interim Year Programs
"A time to reflect on your future"
Interim programs can provide a time of reflection to think about what you truly want to do in life as well as energize and refocus your mind and body in preparation for college. Time off not only allows you to step back and take a deep breath after twelve years of school, but it provides you with the opportunity to investigate your career interests and passions. Studying abroad, volunteering, traveling, working, or doing an internship in a field of interest are just a few examples of the exciting opportunities you can take advantage of before attending college. Almost all colleges and universities view a year off as a positive experience, and typically report that year off students bring a heightened maturity to campus and a track record of academic excellence. Clearly, there is nothing wrong with going to college right away, but students need to make sure they going because they want to be there and are ready to put their best foot forward.
