The 3 A's
Athletics:
In the afternoon of each season, every Proctor student participates in a team sport or activity. Choices are plentiful and include traditional team sports such as football, soccer, basketball and lacrosse as well as performance-based activities such as dance, kayaking or rock climbing. There are choices for everyone as both seasoned athletes and novices will find challenge and encouragement from experienced coaches and leaders. Proctor believes that performance-based activity encompasses many of life's important lessons. Whatever your passion, our greatest expectation is that you will love the commitment you have made.

The arts are a great strength at Proctor, opening new horizons for creativity to students of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skills. These elective courses integrate the arts into student life. The Proctor Players produce three major shows each year, including a student-directed piece and a large scale spring musical. Academics:
Traditional college preparatory courses such as Advanced Placement Biology, United States History, Physics, Environmental Science, Calculus and Literature are offered while elective courses like Ocean Classroom, Jewelry Making, Wildlife Science, Boatbuilding and Screenwriting allow students to find new passions. This balance is what enables our students to attend some of the nations best colleges yet be satisfied in having discovered new passions. Visit Academics
Live to Learn
Small schools typically cannot offer the diversity of curriculum of larger schools, while the larger schools lose the intimacy of smaller communities. Proctor has managed to retain both! All school Assemblies, small dormitories and classrooms with an average size of twelve students, daily advisor contact and a 5:1 student to teacher ratio all speak to our intimate community. Elective courses in jewelry making or web journalism, sports that include kayaking and ski jumping all speak to the diversity of our offerings.

College Counseling:
Just as you seek the right fit for your high school experience, our goal for you is the same as you leave Proctor and head off to the college of your choice. This process takes introspection, hard work and communication. Proctor's college counseling office provides a deliberate and systematic approach to helping each student find the right match for college. One of Proctor's greatest strengths is our ability to allow students to explore not only academic knowledge, but self knowledge during their high school years. This allows our graduates to feel confident as they embark on their journey of higher education.
