A sense of place develops over time, and since 1848 Proctor’s campus has seamlessly blended into the quaint New England village of Andover, New Hampshire. Proctor’s campus includes over forty-five buildings, twenty small dormitories, its own privately owned and operated ski hill, state of the art classrooms and art facilities, 2,500 acres of forest and ponds surrounding beautiful natural and synthetic playing fields that are tucked against Ragged Mountain’s south slope. Proctor’s campus is immense, while at the same time surprisingly intimate. The surroundings provide students and faculty a tranquil, yet invigorating classroom to call home.

In 2009, Proctor enacted an Environmental Mission Statement with the bold aim to achieve carbon neutrality on campus. This statement has guided the school’s building projects, implementation of renewable energy sources on campus,single stream recycling efforts, and lifestyle choices as a community.
