New Engo Ice Resurfacer for Proctor Hockey!

Both Proctor's boys’ and girls’ hockey programs have a rich history, including a 2012 NEPSAC championship for the girls’ and NEPSAC tournament berths for both the boys’ and girls’ teams this past year. Looking into the future, both teams are poised for continued success with young rosters full of talented, commited student-athletes.

The school’s commitment to the hockey program through new locker room facilities and some of the best ice in New England (thanks Bill and Rachel!) is evident. As Proctor observes industry leaders at the collegiate and professional levels with regard to facility maintenance, safety, and ice making capabilities, it acknowledges a logical industry-wide shift toward electric ice resurfacers. As is consistent with all athletic programs, Proctor's is committed to put the best equipment in place to ensure its players, coaches, and families never have to be concerned with the potentially dangerous by-products associated with a propane powered Zamboni. The Engo electric resurfacer aligns with both the hockey program’s goal of continued excellence and Proctor’s athletic and environmental mission statements.

The Engo 200 SX was identified as the best machine for the job and was referred to by Rink Magazine as the equivalent of driving a Ferrari, "Engo is the manufactuerer of the world's permier battery-powered ice resurfacer. Through uncompromising performance, power, efficiency, safety, reliability, and contemporary stye, it has earned the nickname as the Ferrari of Ice Resurfacers...Engo continues to drive the zero-emissions revolution for cleaner and safer rinks."

Be sure to come out and support the Hornets at the Ted and to stick around between periods to see the new Engo in action!
