The Proctor football program's commitment to player development is exemplified by its emphasis on the Junior Varsity level. With daily practices coached by the Varsity coaching staff, players at all levels benefit from a focus on fundamentals, proper techniques, and an overall understanding of the game. While the Junior Varsity team typically competes on Wednesday afternoons or during Tuesday Night Lights, all program members are expected to join the Varsity team for Saturday contests. The program's dedication to player growth means that it is common for players to transition from the Junior Varsity team to the Varsity team throughout the season or their career, earning Varsity playing time as they progress.
Proctor football players are committed to excellence in academics, athletics, and our community. Members of the football program are encouraged to participate in other athletic programs during the winter and spring, and most football players are multi-sport athletes. Football players at Proctor work hard on and off the field. They play with dignity, whether in victory or defeat, strive to uphold the standards necessary to succeed as a Proctor student-athlete, and adhere to the core Proctor Academy principles of Honesty, Compassion, Respect, and Responsibility.
