Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking has been a competitive co-ed sport at Proctor for more than 10 years. With our own extensive trail system on Proctor’s expansive 2,700-acre campus, our ready access to hill climbs, downhills, smooth fire roads and tight singletrack has made us one of the largest and most competitive teams in the league.

Proctor competes with over 20 schools and clubs in the Northern New England High School Mountain Bike Race Series. The season, which runs from mid-September through early November, consists of approximately 10 cross-country races in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Each race is organized to provide exciting competition for racers at all levels, from novice to expert.

When we’re not racing, the team routinely practices on and maintains our trail system while also taking advantage of other excellent riding spots in New Hampshire and Vermont. Our focus is on developing technical riding skills, cardiovascular fitness, and a love of riding. Whether you’re experienced and competitive or new to the sport, the Mountain Biking Team has a place for you.
