Investigation into Historical Misconduct
In pursuit of our mission, in May 2024, Proctor’s Board of Trustees and School Leadership decided to conduct a comprehensive, third-party investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct at Proctor. The scope of this investigation is to examine if there have been past transgressions involving sexual misconduct. This includes, but is not limited to, current or former Proctor employees engaging in sexual misconduct or grooming with then-current Proctor students, and/or whether Proctor failed to appropriately respond to allegations of sexual misconduct.
While we do not yet know where this journey will take us as we take stock of both the past and present behaviors of our community, we enter this work with ultimate clarity of purpose: we desire to have a school culture that reflects our mission and provides a highly relational educational model, while ensuring students a healthy and safe environment in which our students can learn, grow, and pursue their best selves.
