Proctor’s Performing Arts Department presents its spring performance, Clue, on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Norris Family Theater. Under the direction of Charley Stern ‘09, the cast and crew of Clue have worked hard throughout the spring trimester to step into their roles, learn their lines, design the set and costumes, and perfect to the best of their abilities the lights and sound that bring the show to life.

In his director’s note Charley shares, “Welcome to our production of Clue on Stage! As we embark on this thrilling journey into the world of mystery and intrigue, I am excited to share with you our interpretation of this classic board game turned theatrical spectacle. Set in the opulent Boddy Manor, our wonderful cast and crew brings to life the iconic characters you know and love, each with their own motives and secrets waiting to be revealed. As the cast steps into the shoes of characters embroiled in a web of lies and secrets, they are challenged to consider the motivations behind each suspect's actions and reflect on the complexities of human nature.”

Charley continues, “Clue on Stage serves as a reminder of the enduring popularity of the source material. Originally a board game, Clue has captured the imaginations of audiences for generations, transcending age and cultural boundaries. In bringing this beloved classic to the Proctor stage, we celebrate its legacy while offering our own unique interpretation for a new audience to enjoy. This is a true ensemble piece which has fostered camaraderie and teamwork among our cast and crew, who have worked tirelessly to bring it to life!”

The cast and crew of Clue should be proud of their hard work and the gift of theater they have given to the Proctor and local Andover community this spring. As the actors share in the video above, it is the culmination of hard work that makes being a part of a production so energizing. We watch as individual roles develop, evolve, and transform alongside the set, lights, and sound design to produce an impressive end product.

The process of a show coming together is not unlike that of a community, where each individual becomes increasingly connected to the whole. Be sure to come out to enjoy the show this weekend to see the hard work of the cast and crew of Clue!
