Baseball in northern New Hampshire is not for the faint of heart. Usually the season starts with snow on the ground, followed by some frigid games throughout the month of April before the sunshine, green grass, and blue skies of May arrive in earnest. For Proctor’s baseball team, the 2023 season has been one of perseverance and growth.
In the video spotlight below, Sports Information Intern Carly Solomon ‘24 interviews players and Head Coach Mark Tremblay as they share insights into their season, their approach to learning the game of baseball, and the love they all share for the sport.
In a competitive Lakes Region, the Hornets have fought hard against teams with a deeper bench and more arms on the mound, earning wins over New Hampton School and Kimball Union Academy, the latter in walk-off fashion last weekend.
As the team closes out its season with a home game against Tilton School Wednesday followed by an away tilt at Brewster Academy on Saturday before the Lakes Region Tournament next week. Best of luck to this hearty group of baseball loving athletes down the stretch!
