JV1 Remains Undefeated Beating KUA 50-37

It's always a tough game in the old KUA gym, a gym that still features original brickwork and single-paned windows. The sidelines are inches away from the seating section in all directions, and It takes just a few yelling students (and their voices reverberating between the walls of the small gym) to make it feel like there are 100 fans cheering against you. With one starter out and two more key players on limited minutes, the Hornets knew they were in for a challenge against perennial powerhouse KUA. Senior tri-captains Henry Bechok, DJ Rankins, and Declan Healey put the team on their backs with 20, 9, and 12 points, respectively, to hold off numerous runs by KUA and hold on to the win. Proctor faces its toughest week all season next week when they play Lawrence Boys and Girls Club on Monday, and Brewster Varsity B on Wednesday at Brewster.
