Hornets Struggle at BCA
In their penultimate game of the season, Proctor's boys' varsity basketball team traveled to Plaistow, NH YMCA to play Bradford Christian Academy. With an already short bench due to injury, the Hornets were dealt another blow four minutes into the game when another starter went down with an ankle injury. After a hot start (3 three pointers in first two minutes), Max Kiehm '19 would leave the game with an ankle sprain, and Proctor would look to its short bench for a boost. Unfortunately, the combination of sloppy play from Proctor and a high octane offense clicking on all cylinders in BCA, it turned into a long night for the visitors. Bol Akot '20 provided some spark offensively with 29 points, while Mykel Derring '19 added 20, Sheer Akot '21 had 13, and Terrell Brown '19 scored 11, but it was Proctor's inability to get stops on the defensive side of the ball that led to a frustrating loss on the road. BCA's Precious Okoh torched the nets with 11 three pointers on his way to a 43 point outburst. Proctor turns right back around for their season finale Saturday as they host Tilton School at 3:30 PM.
