Strong Win, Tasty Burritos, and Danbury Country Store
It was a beautiful day to play at Holderness! The Proctor JV Girls' Tennis Team played as expected and came away with a 6-2 win. Holderness had 4 playable courts due to snow cover, so we scrambled a bit and played 4 singles and 4 doubles. #1 Amy was defeated by a well-schooled opponent, 5-8. #2 Nikki (8-5), #3 Carly (8-3), and #4 Carol (8-6) all won the remaining singles matches, starting strong and finishing strong as well. In doubles, #1 Emily and Kara won 8-2, #2 Torie and Ayla won 8-2, and #4 Birgit and Julia won 8-2. Lila and Mackenzie dropped their match 5-8, once again facing an opponent that played an unorthodox style, throwing off their rhythm. Thanks to Head of School Mike Henriques for stopping by and supporting this fun team, he was able to see developmental tennis at its finest. We celebrated with burritos in Plymouth, ice cream in Danbury, and ringing the bell at Maxwell Savage.
