Redican, Fletcher Notch First Victories

Traveling to Holderness in order to use courts efficiently, the JV Boys' team expected a long afternoon following the girls' match. Little did we know that we would be in for a treat -- the four core members of the JV team each scored a point for Proctor, taking the day. Jasper Redican reported winning his first single match at #3 singles, 8-4, and Camden Fletcher, new to the team this year, won his first single match ever, beating his opponent at #4 8-7. Jonathan Ryder-Clark lost in a tiebreaker at first singles, 3-7, and Michael Sun, fighting lingering illness, dropped his match at #2 singles, 5-8. Winning a tiebreaker at #1 doubles (8-6), Jonathan and Michael came together to clinch the victory for Proctor at #1 doubles, following Jasper and Camden's decisive 8-2 victory at #2 doubles. It was a beautiful day for tennis made sweeter by this first road win!
