Holderness Evens the Score
With four available for match play, Proctor invited Holderness to field four singles and two doubles teams, the format we had played at Holderness last week. Because of the possibility of a tie, Proctor had agreed to forfeit the third doubles spot if the two teams tied. It was a close match up, with #2 doubles going down 6-8 at the end of the afternoon. Michael Sun '20 accelerated away from his opponent at 4-4 to win 8-5 at #2 singles, and Jasper Redican '21 dug deep again to win his #3 singles match, 8-6. The team of River de Vink '22 & Michael Sun '20 beat their Holderness opponents 8-6 at #1 doubles, with Camden and Jasper facing fresh opponents in the #2 doubles contest. There was very good tennis on the Proctor courts today!
