No shortage of street art in Seattle!

People of Color and Student Diversity Leadership Conference

Over 7000 people attended the two conferences last week and the positive energy was palpable among the adults and students alike. The students spent the week grappling with their own identity development and how to be leaders in this quickly changing world, while Chris, Seth, and Lori fanned out to various workshops. Attending talks on "Decolonizing the Classroom," "Revamping Black History Month," and "Building Institutional Capacity for Sustained Conversation about Race" among others, allowed us to see where Proctor is pursuing the right paths and where there is still work to be done.

It was wonderful to run into alumna Jess Emery '07 and Erin Davey '06 at the conference as well!
