Huskies & Hornets Scrap to a Tie

On a drizzly spring night under the lights, New Hampton & Proctor kept our tradition of competitive games alive with a spirited contest in front of a big Proctor crowd.
Proctor was pressing early and just ten minutes in, Oz Atwood slotted a beautiful through ball onto the path of Henry Krehbiel who looked at the goal then deftly slid a pass onto the foot of Jackson Etheridge who filled the onion bag.
At 30 minutes, a Proctor red card for a late challenge changed the direction of the contest but we held on and kept some pressure through the half which ended with our lead intact.
Just two minutes into the second frame, an NHS striker gathered a rebound and volleyed in the only goal for the remainder of the game.
Thanks to the fans for their vocal support, to team Atwood who delivered post match burritos & drinks, and to the Proctor Athletic department who helps us behind the scenes.
