Farewell to Coach Rulli and Alumni Football Game

On a picture perfect May evening, more than a dozen alumni and current players gathered on Farrell Field to compete in Proctor's first annual flag football game. Alums currently playing at the Division 1, 2, and 3 levels reconnected with faculty, current players, and most importantly departing coach Ben Rulli.

In a beautiful reception following the game, parents, players, and administration shared thoughts about the impact Coach Rulli has had on Proctor over the past seven years. It was a special time for the football program and for the greater Proctor community. In emotional speeches, parents and players commented that without a doubt, Ben Rulli had been the finest coach they had ever had; both on the field and in life. Coach Rulli noted after the event, "You never truly know the impact you are having on those around you when you are in the day to day grind, but moments like this are special. I'm excited for Casey McCormack to continue the tradition we have been able to establish over the past decade."

Athletic Director Gregor Makechnie shared with the group gathered Saturday evening that the Lettermen's Club of Proctor Football would now officially be renamed the Ben Rulli Lettermen's Club of Proctor Football. Thank you, Coach Rulli, for your seven years of service to Proctor, and for the indelible impact you have had on Proctor's football program and its athletes.
