The Buzz

Enjoy a window into the Proctor community provided through news stories, blog posts, video, assembly podcasts, and images of day-to-day life on and off-campus.

The Power of Video

We know that a picture is worth a thousand words. Video, then, has the potential to be an even more powerful story teller. Proctor’s narrative began on Chuck’s Corner fifteen years ago, and over the past few years has continued to evolve through short videos highlighting the programs and events that differentiate Proctor.

We are incredibly fortunate thanks to the work of Ethney McMahon to have a library of nearly 100 videos created over the past five years. They range from communicating Proctor’s family style dormitories to the relationships developed with the kitchen staff. They help articulate how AP courses capitalize on hands-on-learning, and how maple sugaring is part of our curriculum! They showcase our off-campus programs, as well as the unique balance of academic rigor and support provided each student.

Each video tells a different story, but together they afford an invaluable window into the Proctor community. The most recent videos are posted to our News/Blogs Page, but we encourage you to visit other interior pages of our website to take in the full Proctor experience.

Thanks for sharing, Joe! Love the term 'forever changed' as a way to describe your time at Proctor.

I have to be honest, Proctor changed my life. Academically- Learning Skills, Spain - Mountain Classroom. Dorm life and working in Admissions as a tour guide. Lastly but most importantly, the employees (I'd like to call them "community members") If I had to use two words could describe my experience while at Proctor it would be "Forever Changed". Thanks for all of these great videos!
