Hornets Sting Lions
In a rematch of last year NEPSAC small school semi-final game, the Proctor Hornets hosted defending champs St. Mark's on Wednesday afternoon at the Ted. Proctor jumped out to a 3-0 lead, paced by goals from Jake Pappalardo, Jack Hall, and Jack Scannell. With the help of the men in stripes, St. Mark's scored 3 goals with the man advantage and knotted the score at the halfway point of the contest. The Hornets clicked for 2 goals late in the middle frame, 1st a blast by Matt Slick and then Jack Hall with just 7 seconds on the clock. Proctor put things out of reach in the final stanza when Swedish sensation Eric Cotton converted on a penalty shot (sweet revenge) and scored again with off a beautiful feed from Tate Singleton. It was all over but the crying, and there was a fair amount of that. Next up is the Tilton Rams on Friday in a Lakes Region matchup, game time is 6:30 at Tilton.
