Hornets Sting Bobcats
The Proctor Academy boys' varsity hockey team took to the road on Wednesday, looking to get the rust off after a five day break. Lakes Region rival Brewster Academy played the host at the infamous Pop Whalen Arena. The Hornets swarmed the Bobcat goal, and when the dust settled they took a 3-0 lead into the room at the first intermission. Brewster answered the call and connected three times to tie things up, and the teams were deadlocked 3-3 with one period to play. Proctor responded, led by senior Jake Papplardo's hat dance, and cruised to a 7-4 victory, earning valuable Lakes Region points. Junior Reilly Walsh and sophomore Ryan King each chipped in with a pair of markers, and Jack Hall had two assists. Next up is the Hornets' annual trek north of the border, hopefully they can continue in this positive direction.
