Guest Wi-fi password changed
In efforts to increase network security and bring about more awareness of client use on the Proctor Guest WiFi, the way guest clients associate to the WiFi is changing.
Guests will no longer use a WiFi password.
Instead, guests will enter personal information (see below), including the Proctor email of someone they are in contact with as a sponsor.
Here are the steps for guests to associate to the Proctor Guest WiFi:
Connect to the wireless network Proctor Guest (no password)
In the corresponding pop-up window
Guest enters name
Guest enters personal email
Guest enters Proctor email of sponsor
Proctor sponsor receives email from Meraki and approves or denies request
**Please, do not approve guest access of someone you do not know**
**Proctor Guest WiFi will be broadcast daily in these areas from 6:00AM to 10:00PM**
**Proctor Guest WiFi will only be available in on-campus housing upon request. Those instances will be for short durations only**
**During special events, Proctor Guest WiFi will be broadcast campus-wide and open without the need for sponsors to approve requests**
We understand that we are asking Proctor employees to take an extra minute of their day to engage with guests for this process. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and we thank you for helping us keep our network safe.
