Proctor Picks Up First Win Of The Season

Proctor traveled to NYA for a Wednesday evening game that proved to be a big test for the girls. Proctor looked strong, but NYA was relentless and never went away, tying up the game every chance they had, though they did get one on the board first off of an unlucky bounce of one of our own. All active players for Proctor played a huge role in the outcome, battling hard and fighting until the end to come away with the win. Caroline Coyne got the scoring started and both teams went in the locker room tied at 1. The second period Proctor got the scoring started with a tip in from Natalie Daniels off a shot from Jaime Hort at the point. With 30 seconds left in the period NYA tied it up to go even in the locker room before the third once again. Anna McCluskey put Proctor ahead on a breakaway, but NYA once again tied it up towards the end of the period. With a great individual effort by Caroline Coyne, Proctor found themselves ahead with 5 to go and were able to hang on despite relentless pressure from NYA.
