Off Campus
70% of Proctor students take part in term-long off-campus programs in Spain, France, Costa Rica, the American Southwest, and aboard a 131-foot schooner in the Atlantic Ocean. Explore these programs to better understand the power of experiential learning at Proctor.
Project Period
Project Period is a five day, immersive small group program that kicks off the Spring Term each year. Faculty bring the same richness present in their academic curriculum into their sponsored project, where they have the opportunity to immerse themselves alongside a small group of students (six students to each faculty sponsor) in a shared experience. Each of these experiences is rooted in a faculty member’s passion.
More than 75% of faculty are involved in Project Period each spring. Both the location and type of project ranges far and wide - from winter mountaineering in the White Mountains or dog sledding in Northern Maine, to interning at the local elementary/middle school or glass blowing right here on campus. Each project seeks to expose students to at least one of four main themes: community service, wilderness exploration, cultural immersion, or a new skill.

Project Period in Motion
Located in Andover, NH, Proctor Academy is a private coeducational day and boarding school for grades 9–12. Students benefit from a rigorous academic program, experiential off-campus programs, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
