Tough Afternoon for the Hornets

Traveling to NEPSAC AAA Northfield Mount Hermon for a late season game is never easy, but doing so less than 24 hours after an end to end barn-burner with Brimmer and May and with a short bench due to injuries is a tall task for any team. The Hornets came out strong and battled against the taller, deeper, more highly touted NMH squad, keeping the game close throughout the first half. Trailing 32-35 with just under 5:00 to play in the first half, Proctor went on a scoring drought that would spell the beginning of the end in this one. NMH would go on a 21-4 run to close out the first half, and would continue their stifling defense and efficient offense throughout the second half. Proctor battled admirably, but simply ran out of gas and struggled to hit open shots when they presented themselves. This is one of those games you simply pack away and move on from. The boys are back in action on Wednesday when they host Gould Academy at 3:30 pm.
