The Lovejoy Library embodies the Proctor motto “Live to Learn, Learn to Live.” In the library, students and faculty have open access to people, ideas, and resources to explore academic and personal interests. In addition, the Lovejoy Library supports the learning needs of Proctor students with a diverse online and print collection, a knowledgeable staff, and a flexible learning environment. Students use the library’s print and digital resources to explore, problem solve, evaluate, and think critically in preparation for the world ahead of them. To foster the students’ love of reading, the library maintains a strong fiction collection, sponsors book clubs, contests, and other activities and programs. One of the most open and freely accessible spaces on campus, the library welcomes students before, during, and after the school day.
