The residential aspect of boarding at Proctor plays a significant part in the overall experience of many students. During the school year, the dorm serves as your child’s ‘home away from home’ and the faculty Dorm Parents and fellow boarders come together to form a family, making memories that will last for years to come. To help foster this sense of family, your child’s dorm will hold various gatherings throughout the year, including weekly meetings and other social events.
As parents, we can help support these initiatives by doing things like making food donations and helping to coordinate dorm events. In the past, parents have done things such as provide snacks for weekly dorm meetings, provide pumpkins for the front step in the fall, send in holiday treats and decorations, coordinate Superbowl and other themed parties, or send care packages during exam week that can be shared with all.
Thank you so much for your support and participation in helping to make your child’s year at Proctor a memorable one! Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
